His Excellency the President of the University sponsors the eighteenth forum for graduates of the School of Medicine

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nathir Obeidat, the eighteenth forum was held for graduates of the School of Medicine from the twentieth and twenty-first patches to celebrate the twenty-five years since their graduation from the SOM.

Professor Yaser Al-Rayan ,Dean of the School of Medicine ,delivered a welcoming speech in which he talked about the achievements of the School of Medicine and its distinction at the level of international classification, international accreditation, research and job reputation.

Then, the sponsor of the ceremony, His Excellency Prof. Nathir Obeidat, gave a speech in which he expressed his pride in the School of Medicine's history and achievement, and reviewed a set of distinguished memories in the college and the university hospital. He also expressed his appreciation for a group of pioneering professors who reached  the age of retirement and others who passed away, but their achievements are  still remembered .

His Excellency Prof. Nathir Obeidat distributed honorary shields to a group of esteemed professors who enriched the academic and professional career with their great achievements, and they are:

1. His Excellency Professor Walid Al-Maani

2. Prof. Izdiad Badran

3. Prof. Mustafa Al-Shunnaq

4. Prof. Ahmed Al-Sroujeh

5. Prof. Faisal Al-Khatib

 

His Excellency the President also distributed honorary awards to the top students of the forty-sixth batch, and to those who obtained an excellent degree among them.

A number of graduates of the two patches participated in a set of presentations  that dealt with their journey and memories during the study and their professional and academic positions that they reached, through a speech to the graduates delivered by Prof. Mahasen Al-Najjar, and a presentation by Dr. Omar Al-Omari and Dr. Rami Al-Adassi from the 20th and 21st pathches, respectively.

The host of the ceremony, Dr. Tariq Kanaan, expressed his thanks to the supportive doctors who contributed to the success of this forum, and to the efforts of the alumni committee of the SOM and administrative staff in preparing and organizing the event.
