The biochemistry laboratory is multidisciplinary lab at the faculty of Medicine andprovides services for faculty members, medical students and post graduate students in performing biochemical researches. The laboratory performs a wide variety of different biochemical tests such protein quantitation by photometric methods and Real time PCR assays in whole blood, serum/ plasma and other bio fluids by the use of a wide range of equipment, from the simple most basic to automated, and modern systems.Some of the equipment available in the biochemistry lab are: Real time PCR, spectrophotometers, vortexes, refrigerators, freezers, tabletop centrifuges, water baths, balances,Oven, pH meters, pumpsand adjustable pipettes of all required sizes.

The Laboratory of Cellular Biochemistry is part of the Department of Physiology and Biochemistry.  It assists researchers in performing diverse experimental work related to molecular biology, cellular biology, protein biochemistry, and enzyme kinetics.  The laboratory is equipped with basic instruments as well as a separate cell culture room, a PCR hood, a PCR cycler, and a microplate reader specialized for colorimetric, luminescent, and fluorescent (five filters from uv to red wavelength ranges) analyses using different types of well-based plates.  The lab also has its own refrigerated centrifuge, autoclave, and a -80°C freezer. 
 
  
The molecular biology research laboratory (MBRL) is a core laboratory at the sschool of medicine directed by Dr. Belal Al-Azab. MBRL is intended to provide expertise facilities, equipments and materials for faculty members and graduate students performing molecular biology research. The laboratory is also offering workshops and training courses in various molecular biology techniques.

Pharmacology Laboratories
Brief Description
Pharmacology Laboratories are one of the most important laboratories at the school of medicine in the University of Jordan. It contains very important and advance instruments for teaching the graduate students and researchers for different scientific fields. Pharmacology Laboratories include three main laboratories:
Analytical pharmacology laboratory, Molecular Pharmacology (Pharmacogenomics) laboratory and Cell culture laboratory.
Analytical pharmacology laboratory
It contains a number of important chromatographic instruments that assist graduate students and researchers in analyzing samples.The most important of that instrument are HPLC and GC, which are used to identify the drugs and determine its amount in different samples such as in biological or pharmaceutical form.

Molecular Pharmacology (Pharmacogenomics) laboratory
It analyze and responds to pharmacological activity by detecting drug responding mutations (Point mutation “SNPs”) at patient genes by using several devices, the most important of which is qPCR (real time PCR), Conventional PCR, electrophoresisetc…..
Cell culture laboratory
It contains a number of important devices that assist students and researchers in studying the effect of drugs on cells, especially cancerous ones, through the use of modern technologies such as MTT, Migration and Invasion assays using important devices such as type II laminar flow cabinet, co2 incubator etc….
  
The Human Physiology Laboratory seeks to understand the mechanisms that work to keep the human body alive and functioning by studying the composition of each human structure, the development of these structures, the physical relationships between them, and the relationship between structure and function. The Physiology laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine isa teaching laboratoryand provides services for undergraduates students. It covers the practical sessions of: Hematolymphoid, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Gastrointestinal,Muscuskeletal and Nervoussystems for second and third, Medical students and Dental students.

The Power lab at the faculty of Medicine is intended to provide services to medical students and post graduate students in performing researches in Physiology. It is comprises of hardware and software designed to record and analyze physiological signals from human or animal subjects or from isolated organs.The Power Lab system designed to perform various functions needed for data acquisition, signal conditioning and pre-processing.Versatile display options and analysis functions are complemented by the ability to export data to other software.

The toxicology laboratory is one of the essential laboratories located at the school of medicine directed by Dr. Kamal Hadidi. The main functions of this laboratory is to provide faculty members and post graduate students with the essential knowledge, equipments and materials needed in their analytical toxicological research. It also offers practical toxicological courses for postgraduate students.

 Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM):
General Information:
TEM is the abbreviation of transmission electron microscope technique in which a beam of electrons, accelerated from a tungsten filament, is focused on a sample, and the transmitted electrons are focused into an image. "Electron dense" areas of the sample (often made dense by staining techniques) scatter electrons, leading to dark areas in the image. The image itself, being made up of electrons, is invisible to the eye, so it is visualized by projection onto a fluorescent screen, which emits light when it is struck by electrons. For permanent records, photographic film, which is exposed by electrons, is used in place of the screen.
In the TEM Unit We provide advice and centralized training to both academic staff and research students in the preparation of specimens and the operation of the microscopes, the principal users of the TEMU facilities come from the faculties of (agriculture, pharmacy, medicine and science), The Electron Microscope Unit also provides facilities for a range of external organizations such as private and governmental hospitals.

TEM Application:
A Transmission Electron Microscope is ideal for a number of different fields such as life sciences, nanotechnology, medical, biological and material research, forensic analysis and education.
Different samples can be analyzed at our TEMU such as biological tissues and biopsies, plants, Bacteria and viruses, cell suspensions, polymers, oil emulsions, gold and silver nanoparticles, Nano fibers and others.
Pathology lab:
Pathology lab provide expert assistance for students and researchers in the field of light microscopy and Microtechniques, such as processing and sectioning of different tissue sample, in addition for applying different staining technique.
We also provide training on all the equipment and procedures in our laboratory.

The microbiology laboratory is a core laboratory at the ٍschool of medicine. It is intended to provide expertise facilities, equipments and materials for faculty members, medical students and graduate students performing micro bacterial research. The laboratory is also offering microbiology and parasitology   courses for medical and post graduate students.
