An academic Delegation from Ireland visits the School of Medicine

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, a delegation from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, affiliated with the Royal Irish College of Surgeons, visited the School of Medicine as part of a visit the delegation held to the University of Jordan. The Dean, Professor Yasser Al-Rayyan, received the visiting delegation. The delegation also held a meeting with the  Dean, in the presence of the deputy deans, Dean's assistants, and the heads of a number of departments in basic sciences.

​Ways of cooperation were discussed in a group of academic fields of common interest, which included a presentation by the visiting delegation on postgraduate programs in all medical and health specialties, professional development programs, research projects, clinical training, and simulation and digital learning laboratories at the Irish University.

The Irish University delegation included the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Dr. Darran O'Connor, Dr. Jochen Brehnand the Director of the Center for Medical Systems and the Gead of the Department of Physiology , and Dr.Catherine Greenethr Deputy Head of the School of Postgraduate Studies.

​The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Dean for Faculty Affairs and Graduate Studies at the University of Jordan, Professor Dr. Nafez Abu Tarbush, Professor Dr. Heba Kalbouneh, Deputy Dean for Examination Affairs, Dr. Fida ThikrAllah, Assistant Dean for Students in the Clinical Stage and Graduates, Dr. Enas Al-Zayadneh , Assistant Dean for Quality and Communication Affairs, and Dr. Maram Abdel Jalil. ,Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the basic stage. It was also attended by department heads, Professor Dr. Abdul Qader Al-Battah, Head of Department of  Pathology , Microbiology and Forensic medicine , Dr. Ebaa Al-Zayadneh, Head of the Physiology and Biochemistry Department, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Salman, Head of the Anatomy and Histology Department.
