On Wednesday 14-8-2024, the School of Medicine held a student event to celebrate the students' achievements and activities during the academic year, under the auspices of Dean of the School of Medicine, Professor Yasser Rayan, and in the presence of the Vice Dean for School Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the clinical years and graduates, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the basic stage, and the Assistant Dean for Quality, Communication and International Rankings.
This event was held to celebrate the students' achievements and contributions to achieving the strategic goals during the academic year 2023-2024 under the supervision of the Office of Quality and Communication Affairs and the Quality Assurance Committee at the School.
The event included a number of speeches , including an opening speech by Dr. Maram Abdul Jalil, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the basic stage, in which she expressed her pride in the achievement of students, which was represented by the completion of a large number of distinguished activities this year, and Dr. Feda Thikrallah, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs in the clinical years and graduates, gave a speech during which she expressed a set of achievements implemented by the Clinical Training Office and the Student Guidance and Support Office during the academic year.
This event coincided with the preparation of the School and the university for the award for distinguished official university applied to by the university, as Dr. Enas Al-Zayadneh , Assistant Dean for Quality Affairs and Accreditation, gave an introductory presentation on the distinguished official university award, the strategic objectives of the School of Medicine and the quality assurance of academic operations in the School.
The event also included a display of student participations presented by students of the Quality Assurance Committee, including :
1. A presentation on the activities held by students in the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Committee presented by the student Ihab Al-Raoud.
2. An overview of the establishment of groups (Student's Interest Groups), and their activities during the academic year presented by the student Ahmed Al-Hajj.
3. A pictorial video that included many activities held in the School during the academic year by clubs, teams and multiple student committees, in addition to other miscellaneous activities.

4. A presentation of a selection of activities and events held by the students of the Kuwaiti community in the School presented by Hamad Al-Kandari, representative of the community at the university.
The event concluded with an honorary ceremony segment for the students' representatives in the School Council (students: Laith Theeb, Mohamed Al-Rababa'a, Jihad Qassem) that included a speech presented by the student Laith Theeb, the student representative in the School Council for the clinical stage, and the student Jihad Qassem, the student representative in the School Council for the basic stage.
Professor Yasser Rayan, Dean of the School of Medicine, delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in the academic reputation of the School of Medicine and the excellence of its students and graduates, and pointed to the role played by students to achieve more achievement and excellence at the national and international levels, especially the nomination for the official distinguished university award issued by the King Abdullah II Center for Excellence. Professor Rayyan presented honorary shields and certificates of appreciation to the students' representatives in the Council and the official committees in the School.
