On Sunday, 12-1-2024, the School of Medicine held an introductory lecture on the instructions for continuous professional development at the Medical Council of Jordan. The lecture was given by Professor Lama Al-Muhaisen, Chairman of the Continuing Professional Development Committee at the Medical Council of Jordan and a professor at the College of Medicine at Al-Balqa Applied University. The lecture covered the following topics: a presentation of the procedures for submitting a request to count activities within continuing medical education ,an introduction to the various activities that are approved, the procedure for calculating credit hours for activities, and a brief presentation of the instructions of the Jordanian Medical Council regarding continuous professional development (for health specialties). The meeting was held in the auditorium of the University of Jordan Hospital and was attended by a number of faculty members at the School of Medicine and doctors at the University of Jordan Hospital from higher specialty programs and fellowship programs in various medical specialties
