  Department of Pharmacology

Overview

The department of Pharmacology/ Faculty of Medicine is one of the Basic medical Sciences departments.  The staff (5 Professors, Assistant Professor, and one lecturer) have diverse teaching and research interests and expertise.  These include cardiovascular, endocrine, autonomic, clinical, and molecular pharmacology as well as pharmacogenomics.  Including, cardiovascular, endocrine, clinical, autonomic nervous system, molecular pharmacology and pharmacogeneomics.  The department offers various courses in pharmacology to undergraduate medical, dentistal and nursing students.  The Masters program in pharmacology is available for medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and veterinary medicine graduates.  The department is involved in research in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenetics, toxicology, and molecular pharmacology.  Future plan is to recruit young  faculty members in various fields of pharmacology through appointments or scholarships for distinguished medical graduates.
