Prof. Yasser Al-Rayyan, Dean of the School of Medicine, received a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education in the neighboring Republic of Iraq on Sunday 12-3-2023. The delegation included Dr. Salah Al-Fatlawi, Head of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, Dr. Anis Khalil Nayel, Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Medicine, and Dr. Yusra Muhammad Abdullah, Director of the Department of Accreditation, Supervision and Academic Evaluation, and Dr. Yousra Abdel-Rahman Mahmoud, Head of the National Council for Accreditation of Medical Colleges,and Professor Wassim Al-Tamimi, the Iraqi cultural advisor in Jordan.
. The delegation held a meeting with the Dean , Deputy Dean for College Affairs Prof Musa Al-Abbadi, , and Dr. Enas Al-Zayadneh, Assistant Dean for Quality and Communication Affairs, during which they a presentation was given about the local and international accreditation process obtained by the School of Medicine at the University of Jordan by the Higher Education Institutions Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission and the International Federation for Medical Education WFME .
The delegation expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by the college to obtain accreditation and its for the strong Jordanian-Iraqi relations in the fields of academic and cultural exchange. The meeting was also attended by Mrs. Amal Al-Tarawneh, Director of the Quality Assurance Directorate at the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission in Jordan .
