A Workshop on Qualifications Placement within the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework held at the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center in cooperation with the School of Medicine

On Thursday, 3/28/2024, the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center at the University of Jordan held a workshop on placement of qualifications within the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework for a number of faculty members in various scientific and humanities schools, in cooperation with the School of Medicine at the University of Jordan, which obtained placement status for “ Doctor of Medicine “ program from the Commission of  Accreditation For Higher Education In Jordan on 12-26-2023.

During the workshop, the Assistant Dean of Quality and Communication at the School of Medicine, Dr. Enas Al-Zayadneh, provided a comprehensive explanation of the Jordanian National Framework for Qualifications Accommodation, through examples of various scientific specializations, including scientific and humanities, within the conditions of the National Leadership for Qualifications Skills at various academic levels (Bachelor, Master's, and Doctorate).

The Assistant Dean for Quality Affairs at the School of Medicine explained the importance of the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework, which aims to reduce the gap between the outputs of educational and training institutions and the needs of the labor market in terms of skills, knowledge and competencies, noting the importance of the participatory process between educational and training institutions and the labor market, in consolidating cooperation and consultation mechanisms, and the importance of The pivotal role of partners in the educational process to improve it and develop the quality of programs, which reflects positively on the reputation of educational outcomes in the Jordanian and international labor market.

During the presentation, Dr Al-Zayadneh provided a detailed explanation of the mechanism of work of the Jordanian National Qualifications Framework, which includes a hierarchical classification of all levels of qualifications and certificates associated with higher education programs, within specifications for each level to determine the knowledge, skills and competencies that should be linked to the qualification. The Jordanian National Qualifications Framework is based on the concept of Learning outcomes: Educational institutions must create their educational programs based on clear educational outcomes that are compatible with the specifications of the level to which the qualifications resulting from these programs are intended to be placed.
