A health awareness event on eczema was held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, under the supervision of Dr. Noor Al-Maani and Dr. Rand Muheilan from the Dermatology Division, Department of Internal Medicine, at the School of Medicine. The event was organized by a group of medical students, both from the clinical and pre-clinical years, who are passionate about raising awareness of dermatological conditions. The event took place at the Jordan University Hospital and aimed to raise awareness about eczema, highlighting its causes, symptoms, treatments, and ways to manage it.
The booth featured interactive explanations provided by the participating students to visitors and staff at the hospital. The discussions focused on eczema, its triggers, and ways to avoid exacerbating the condition. Practical advice on skincare and available treatment options was also shared.
Specialist dermatologists participating in the event provided direct answers and consultations on questions raised by attendees. Additionally, educational booklets and informational pamphlets about eczema were distributed to extend the benefit to a wider audience.
The administration of the School of Medicine appreciates the commendable efforts of the faculty members, organizing students, and participants in making this event a success.
