1. Apply and integrate knowledge of basic
biomedical and socio-behavioral sciences, detective reasoning, and evidence
based practice in clinical problem solving in OG as oncology, infertility,
genital tract infections, genital prolapse and normal and abnormal labor, high
risk pregnancy, normal and abnormal fetal condition, and complication of 3rd
stage of labor and puerperal problems.
2. Interpret accurately findings from
history and physical examination to recognize the presentation/s and construct
a differential diagnosis for common OG complaints including infertility and
uro-gynecological problems.
3. Select and interpret the results of the
most appropriate diagnostic plan for evaluation of common OG complaints taking
into consideration the nature of the clinical situation and the risks, benefits
and costs to the patient.
4. Formulate management plans for common and
rare OG problems taking into account the cultural and individual needs.
5. Demonstrate professional skills in
outpatient gynecological procedures, basic OG surgical skills, preoperative,
operative, and postoperative management of
OG problems and surgical complications.
6. Recognize and manage effectively all OG
mergencies.
7. Recognize ethical principles that govern
decision-making in OG practice and implement the professional ethical attitude
with patients and their relatives including respect of patient's
confidentiality and consent and delivery of care in an honest, considerate and
compassionate manner.
8. Communicate effectively with patients,
recognize the psychological basis of human sexuality and sexual disorders, and
respond effectively to a patient’s emotional and psychosocial concerns.
9. Develop a foundation knowledge in the
management of patients in the subspecialities of gynecological oncology,
maternal-fetal medicine, infertility and reproductive endocrinology, and
uroGynecology .
10. Maintain complete, detailed and accurate
medical records and utilize information technology to manage information,
access on-line medical information, and support own education and proper
patient care.
11. Utilize different scientific methodologies
to conduct and publish scientific research studies and present the results
professionally.
12. Demonstrate effective communication with
the health-care team and develop team-working and leadership skills necessary
to organize work and supervise and educate junior and paramedical staff and
show a commitment to continuous professional development.
