Program Specifications

Higher Specialization in Clinical Laboratory/Microbiology and Immunology / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

  1. ​It is expected that the program will provide opportunities for students to develop and demonstrate knowledge and understanding, skills and other properties in the following fields:
  2. -To have thorough knowledge of the established and evolving diagnostic techniques in the context of Clinical Laboratory practice.
  3. -To have an optimal diagnostic competence and be able to provide consultation in the context of Clinical Microbiology and Clinical Immunology.
  4. -To have advanced knowledge of disease processes in the fields of Clinical Microbiology and Clinical Immunology and to have solid knowledge in diseases related to other fields of the Clinical laboratory.
  5. -To have communication skills that would allow effective communication of information among colleagues, other health-care personnel, the patients and the surrounding community.
  6. -To collaborate with other health-care personnel to coordinate and improve the patient care.
  7. -Show commitment to adherence to the highest ethical and quality standards while carrying out professional duties.
  8. -To be able to present and critically appraise recent scientific literature.
  9. -To be able to design and direct a scientific research project.
  10. -To play an active role in implementation and adherence to the highest quality standards of the Clinical Laboratories as indicated by the rules and regulations of the University of Jordan and Jordan University Hospital.
