Morning reports : Daily morning reports to discuss and teach practical cases from the previous night's call

Core Lectures : Formal Didactic lectures covering the whole internal medicine syllabus

Teaching Rounds : Daily rounds on patients discussing their diagnosis and management plan with supervising attending

Flea Market” Teaching Activity: Weekly activity to discuss challenging cases and key messages in diagnosis and management among the whole department

Journal Club : Monthly activity to review and critique a newly published article

Mortality and Morbidity : Monthly activity to discuss a serious case and perform a route cause analysis

“Meet the Expert” Grand Rounds : a monthly to bi-weekly activity to present a multidisciplinary, interesting, or ground-breaking subject

Board Review Sessions : Q&A sessions to help prepare residents for the boards

Workshops & Skill lab : Performed on an as-needed basis to teach certain skills

Supervised Procedures : Specific procedures are done hands-on under direct supervision to achieve needed competency, which are recorded into a specific logbook
