Higher Specialization in Anesthesia and Intensive Care / Assessment Methods

  1. Feedback on performance on daily basis during morning reports, rounds and OR performance.
  2. Monthly evaluation of performance with feedback
  3. Yearly examinations including written exam to assess knowledge, and clinical exam to assess skills​



Higher Specialization in Anesthesia and Intensive Care / Assessment Methods

  • Evaluation: (30%): Reflects real time monitoring of trainee performance: it collates very well with total assessment. Subjectivity has minimal effect as the results are obtained from large teaching staff number.
  • Practical exam (end of year): Diversity of stations reflected all ILOs of the program and results were very reflective of the current competence status of each student
  • ​Written Exam (end of year): Results were consistent with what was expected from each student based on his field performance.
