Attendance.
- Communication skills.
- Clinical medical skills (competencies
according to required skills and duties. as defined in educational plan for
each trainee level).
- Preparation & participation in
different educational sessions.
- Compliance to documentation requirements.
- Compliance to quality, patient safety,
infection control and clinical policies.
- An evaluation form filled after each sign
out by the attending pathologist: this form is used to evaluation eight
parameters through scaled options. The parameters include the resident
proficiency in the following: interpretation and diagnosis, timely and
effective reporting, grossing skills, intraoperative consultation, citing
literature, being a good team player, the ability to recognize errors and
self-limitations, and adequate professionalism.
- Practical and oral examination accounting
for 30% of the final mark: 20% for the practical exam and 10% for the oral
exam.
Written exam accounting for 40% of the
final mark.
