Mission |  | To provide quality education to medical students and provision of services of highest standards, based on research, evidence- based medicine and holistic approach to patients. To achieve its vision and mission the department has the following goals: 1- To provide medical students with an understanding of the basic concepts in various disciplines of public health (epidemiology, biostatistics, Maternal and child health, health care management , environmental and occupational health. 2- To provide highly qualified candidates with the necessary post – graduate training and competencies to be recognized as public health professionals. 3- To achieve excellence in research in public health, it rough identification of priority areas for research and multi-center, multi – agency collaborative research. 4- To promote community services and collaboration with community-based organizations by both students and faculty. 5- To expose medical students and residents to family medicine clinic operations that promote and demonstrate quality and efficiency | | | Vision |  | The Department of family and Community Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Jordan is dedicated to be recognized as a significant force in preventing disease and promoting health both nationally and in the region. | | | Objectives |  | To provide medical students with an understanding of the basic concepts in various disciplines of public health (epidemiology, biostatistics, Maternal and child health, health care management , environmental and occupational health.
