An introductory meeting was held at the School of Medicine for students from the State of Kuwait

An introductory meeting was held at the School of Medicine for new students from the State of Kuwait on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. The meeting was held in cooperation between the Office of Student Affairs for the Basic years  in the School and the Cultural Office at the Kuwaiti Embassy. The meeting was held under the patronage of the Dean of the School of Medicine, Professor Yasser Al-Rayyan, in the presence of the professors, Dean of the School of Science, Dean of the School of Pharmacy, and Director of the Admissions and Registration Unit. The Kuwaiti side was headed by the Head of the Cultural Office at the Kuwaiti Embassy in Amman, Dr. Hamoud Al-Qashaan, accompanied by the Kuwaiti Cultural Attaché, Dr. Muhammad Al-Jarallah.

The meeting included welcome and guidance speeches delivered by  Dean of the School of Medicine, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Jagoub,Dean of the School of Science ,and  Prof. Dr. Rula Darwish, Dean of the School of Pharmacy,  and Director of the Admissions and Registration Unit, Dr. Ashraf Al-Adwan. The speeches included a presentation of a number of educational services available to them during their university studies. The deputies and assistant deans of the School  of Medicine also gave speeches in which they described the tasks of the Office of Examination Affairs, Student Affairs, Guidance Affairs, and Quality and Communication Affairs. They expressed their readiness to provide support and guidance to students through open channels of communication with students. They presented a number of topics related to the conduct of the teaching process. The challenges faced by students and ways to solve them in accordance with the instructions and regulations in force at the university.

On the Kuwaiti side, Dr. Al-Qashaan and Dr. Jadallah delivered speeches in which they praised the efforts made by the university, represented by its administration, to support Kuwaiti students and provide them with all forms of care and attention similar to Jordanian students, and its endeavor to improve their scientific performance and academic achievement in order to prepare them for a bright future to serve and advance their country. He called on the students to give a good image of their country, adhere to the university's instructions and laws, and pursue their academic career with diligence and perseverance.
