The distinguished researcher and academic in the Department of Pharmacology at the School of Medicine, Professor Malek Zihlif, has achieved a qualitative achievement by obtaining a patent registration for his research paper entitled:
A NANOCOMPOSITE DRUG DELIVERY SYSTEM TECHNICAL FIELD
The results of this research paper present a drug delivery system consisting of tri-metallic nanoparticles coated with biocompatible and water-soluble coating polymers, encapsulating the anti-cancer agent Proscillaridin, to enhance the delivery of the therapeutic substance to the targeted cancer cells while reducing the damage to healthy cells. These results provide a promising opportunity for scientists working in the field of studying drugs for the treatment of breast cancer.
The patent was duly registered at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply.
