A student event was held at the School of Medicine within Professional and Future career guidance activities. This activity was organized by a group of students active in the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations – Jordan, University of Jordan Local Committee (IFMSA-Jo/Intern.The event was held on Monday titled "Med Expo", which brought together a select group of student teams interested in medical fields, scientific research, technology, and artificial intelligence.
The event was graciously attended by several faculty members, who expressed their admiration for the high level of organization and the quality of the scientific content presented. They emphasized the importance of such initiatives in enriching the educational environment and enhancing the practical aspect of medical knowledge among students.A number of Physicians and Graduates from the local community also attended.
The exhibition featured a wide variety of booths covering different medical specialties, in addition to sections dedicated to scientific research, surgical skills, mental health, and modern technologies in artificial intelligence. Visitors were given the opportunity to engage in hands-on educational experiences through live demonstrations and interactive stations that introduced them to the activities and areas of focus of the participating teams.The event included several interactive training stations covering basic medical skills such as surgical suturing, fracture splinting, first aid for unconsciousness, and a number of clinical procedures such as eye examinations and the use of artificial intelligence and virtual reality in treating phobias. It also included an introduction to several medical specialties, such as neurosurgery, oncology surgery, and ophthalmology.
"Med Expo" successfully created a dynamic space for knowledge exchange and collaboration among students, reflecting a spirit of teamwork and collective engagement. This gave the event a unique character that combined academic benefit with practical experience. The event was widely praised by attendees for its high-level coordination and the diversity of its presentations and activities.
This initiative falls within the university's ongoing efforts to support and promote distinguished student activities that contribute to developing students' skills, fueling their passion for the medical field, and providing educational opportunities beyond traditional classroom settings through innovative and interactive approaches.
At the conclusion of the event, the school administration extended its sincere thanks and appreciation to the students who organized and participated in the event, commending their outstanding performance and efforts.
