Student Ahmed Bassam Shahada Nasr, a student at the School of Medicine, participated in several competitions in the field of competitive programming, which include presenting a number of mathematical and life operations and challenges, and participants writing algorithms to solve these challenges within a specific time and specified conditions. His team won first place in the Orange Digital Center Champions Competition in 2023 at the Jordanian level and second place internationally. In addition to obtaining ninth place in the National Programming Competition in Universities in 2023 and qualifying for the Arab Competition in 2024.
The student Ahmed Nasr also won the Queen Rania Al Abdullah Award for Entrepreneurship for the year 2021 for the Jawabmed project, which he founded to provide academic support and assistance to medical students in universities during their studies and exam preparation by presenting multiple and accredited educational resources (online) organized based on different university courses and provided with explanations that help students in academic achievement and achieving the learning outcomes required from the courses. In addition to his achievements, he qualified for the final in The Interview competition for university students, which will be held at the end of 2024. This competition includes evaluating the contestants by a panel of judges during which the contestants are asked to simulate a real job interview and deal with hypothetical programming problems that are presented during the competition.
