Aortic valve implantation via catheter for a patient at the University of Jordan Hospital.
As part of a series of distinguished achievements and qualitative operations for faculty members at the University of Jordan Hospital, an aortic valve implantation operation was performed via a catheter for a patient, under the medical supervision of the heart and catheterization team led by cardiologist Dr. Hanna Makhamreh and with the participation of a specialized staff from catheterization, nursing, and radiology.
Dr. Al-Makhamra added that the patient suffers from severe stenosis of the aortic valve and difficulty breathing with effort. She was operated on using a catheter and is in good health.He pointed out that this case is added to the series of cases that were previously performed in the hospital during the past five years, bringing the number to more than (10) cases, appreciating the support of the University and hospital administration for such services that keep pace with the global development in this field.
