In a distinguished research achievement, Professor Malek Juwaid, Professor of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the School of Medicine, published a scientific review in the journal
CA: Cancer Journal for Physicians  , one of the newest and most influential scientific journals in the world (Proposed Impact IF 521.6).

Professor Malek Juwaid's article, titled       " Beyond fluorodeoxyglucose: Molecular imaging of cancer in precision medicine  ,"    addresses the most recent advances in the field of Molecular imaging and its critical role   in cancer prevention and diagnosis.

The review also highlighted the shift from traditional imaging techniques to more personalized and advanced imaging techniques, leading to improved patient outcomes.

CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians is known for its rigorous peer review standards and exceptional impact factor of 521.6, the highest among all scientific journals worldwide.

This article is the result of an international collaboration between the University of Jordan, represented by Professor Juwaid (Principal Investigator) and Dr. Saud Al-Qasim from the Department of Nuclear Medicine and the American University of Beirut (Professor Fadlo Khuri, President of the University), the Lacassana Cancer Research Centre in Nice, France (Professor Andrea Galamini), Aachen University in Germany and Maastricht University in the Netherlands (Professor Felix M. Motagi), and the Nuclear Research Center in Jülich, Germany (Dr. Philipp Lohmann).

Participating in this review reflects Professor Juwaid's vision and critical assessment of the most important research findings in the field of molecular imaging of cancer with a global audience of clinicians and researchers, helping to explore new research opportunities and thus contributing to improved cancer care.

Dr. Juwaid has more than 150 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and more than 11,300 citations with a Scopus h-index of 40.
