A delegation from Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education institutes visited the School of Medicine on Monday, November 20, 2023. The delegation held a meeting with members of the teaching and administrative staff to review the School of Medicine's annual report on national and international accreditation, and to discuss the areas of improvement achieved in accreditation standards and the strategic goals of the school's 's academic programs. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Yasser Al-Rayyan, Dean of the
School of Medicine, and Prof. Shadi Al-Hamouri, Chairman of the Follow-up Committee for the Accreditation of the School of Medicine from the Accreditation Commission, which also included Dr. Ahmed Al-Shayyab and Mrs. Som Abu Talib.
The meeting was attended by the deputy deans, assistant deans, department heads, a number of members of the teaching and administrative staff, committee heads, and representatives from the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Admissions and Registration Unit.
The delegation praised the achievements of the School of Medicine in local and international accreditation and quality assurance matters.
