Within the framework of cooperation between the School of Medicine, The University of Jordan - and the Ministry of Health - Al-Bashir Hospital
School of Medicine held a visit to Al-Bashir Hospital, represented by Professor Dr. Yasser Al-Rayyan, Dean of the School, and by: Dr. Fida Thekrallah Assistant Dean for Student’s and Graduates Affairs, and Mrs. Haifa Mahasneh, Assistant Dean for Student Advising Affairs.
The meeting took place in the office of Dr. Abdul Mane Salimat, Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Al-Bashir Hospital, in the presence of all the heads of the clinical departments (internal medicine, surgery, and pediatrics). In addition to a group of doctors assigned to teach students of the School of Medicine, the importance of following up on the training and education procedures for clinical years students was discussed by both parties in terms of feedback from the heads of clinical departments on the students’ performance, in addition to the constant feedback from students at Al-Bashir Hospital for each department separately.
Dr. Catherine Qandah also commented on the spirit of initiative and cooperation among the School of Medicine students and the humanitarian initiatives they provide that serve the community.
At the end of the visit, the School delegation toured the clinical departments in the hospital, during which it met with the students and heard their opinions.
