Under the patronage of the President of the University of Jordan, Professor Dr. Nazir Obaidat, the Medical Technology Day was held at the King Abdullah II College of Information Technology, in the presence of Professor Dr. Yaser Al-Rayyan, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Maram Abdaljaleel, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, and with representation from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Economy.

The Medical Technological Day addresses topics of artificial intelligence and its role in research and medical work.

Dr. Yaser Al-Rayyan stressed in his speech the importance and necessity of cooperation between the College of Medicine and the King Abdullah II College of Information Technology in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence because of its broad impact in developing medical scientific research and improving health services. Dr. Yaser Al-Rayyan congratulated the IEEE-CS community and the IFSMA team for their efforts. Dr. Al-Rayyan also indicated that the Colleges of Medicine and King Abdullah II Colleges of Information Technology are now working on a joint project with Erasmus to use artificial intelligence in medicine.
